This past year has been filled with major milestones and accomplishments for
Preservation Alliance of Greater Akron. Given the far-reaching need for preservation
advocacy and education throughout the region, PAGA has worked hard this year to build
partnerships with allied organizations.
Preservation House has been transformed to reveal its historic character, thanks to your
generous gifts of time, talent and treasure. Because of the special in-kind contributions of
the NE Ohio Carpenters’ Joint Apprenticeship Program in the careful reconstruction of the
belfry, as well as Coon Restoration and Sealants, Inc., for the monumental efforts in
removal of the exterior paint, the red-brick schoolhouse once again serves as a center for
education and community gatherings.
