2022 ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE AWARDS
Since 1984, the Summit County Historical Society (SCHS) has recognized the efforts of individuals and organizations to restore and preserve our community’s architecture. Since May 2016, the Summit County Historical Society, in collaboration with the Progress Through Preservation of Greater Akron (PTP) has recognized such projects at its
biennial Architectural Heritage Awards.
We are now seeking nominations for the 2024 Summit County Architectural Heritage Awards.
These awards are presented in even numbered years and a trolley tour of the previous year’s winners takes place in odd-numbered years.
Because of the pandemic, the 2020 nomination process was postponed, no awards were presented, and there was no trolley tour.
Nominated projects must have been completed between 2022 and 2024.
Projects must demonstrate adherence to the U.S. Secretary of the Interior’s Standards.
2022 Nominations are due by March 14, 2022. The presentation of awards ceremony will be held Sunday, May 22.
