Benefits of Membership
Visits to historic, architecturally significant, and interesting homes, buildings and historic sites primarily in the Akron/Summit County area. Some visits are open to the public; some are for PTP members only.
Interaction with others who appreciate the preservation, maintenance and continued use of well-built structures
The ability to combine our single voices to speak up more powerfully as a group to discourage the loss of historically significant structures which make our area unique and interesting.
Receipt of the PTP newsletter which features updates on PTP activities as well as other local preservation efforts and issues.
Reduced rate to rent once/year PTP’s headquarters, Preservation House, a renovated 1870 schoolhouse, for gatherings, such as showers, birthday/anniversary celebrations, or other meetings.Invitations to attend interesting events, like the annual PTP dinner, the Architectural Heritage Awards dinner in association with the Summit County Historical Society, and other special events.
