Century Homes Association
The Century Homes Association (formerly the Summit County Century Homes Association) is a local group of "old house" enthusiasts who help to identify and preserve older homes in the greater Akron/Western Reserve area. CHS awards plaques to owners of homes that have been authenticated as Century Homes, with over 40 homes receiving this award.

Summit County Historical Society of Akron, Ohio
The mission of the Summit County Historical Society is to preserve and interpret the history of Summit County and Akron, and to educate regional communities about the people and events that have shaped our rich history. The Society owns and manages several properties including the Perkins Stone Mansion, home of Akron's founding family; John Brown House, home of the internationally recognized abolitionist; and Old Stone School in downtown Akron - a partnership with Akron Public Schools.
